 r part. A ptosis can exist or occur immediately after a significant weight loss. Most often, however, is a result of pregnancy that the breast volume decreases and the ptosis appears. The ptosis can be isolated or associated with hypertrophy or breast hypoplasia (lack of breasts), which will be corrected at the same time. The breast ptosis is a pure aesthetic act when it is isolated. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 2 hours. It requires one to two days of hospitalization. Its consist to move the nipple and areola upward, to remove excess skin and reshape the gland. The length of scars depends on the hypertrophy and the ptosis degree (single vertical scar or inverted T-scar).
